MEET THE MANAGEMENT AT BIG BOY’S TOYS LTD.
Ian began this journey back in 1998 when he discovered a passion for this industry.
Prior to this chapter in his career, Ian spent many years in the building industry in the Victoria area.
His family have deep roots in the Victoria area where they were part of the Moore-Whittington Lumber Company which spanned from 1867 until 1965 when it was purchased by BC Forest Products. During the 1960’s and 1970’s his family partnered with Cyril Thames of Bowser, B.C. in a corporation named Thames Boatworks where they built fishing and pleasure boats.
Ian’s commuting days from Victoria ended when he and his family formally took up residence in the Nanoose area during 2012.
Ian loves this industry and enjoys reflecting on all of the changes he has witnessed since his start in the business.
He and his family enjoy participating in the RV lifestyle whenever opportunities permit and he is excited to help you and your family enjoy it too.
Shannon has been working for us since 2006 (and earlier on an on-call basis).
She holds degrees from UVic and has done post-secondary studies at Camosun College in their Accounting department.
In her position, she is responsible for all of our payables, receivables, government remittances, payroll etc.
Outside of the office, she loves to garden, paint and is always (at least it seems) running one (or all) of her three boys around. She dreams of the day when she will have the time to pursue flying again and looks forward to every opportunity that presents itself to ride a roller-coaster.

Remembering Adam Peacock
With profound sadness, we share the news of the sudden passing of Adam Peacock, a valued member of the Big Boy's Toys RV family, on October 26. Adam grew up working in the RV industry, dedicating much of his life to a field he truly loved. Over the last 12 years, he became a cornerstone of our team at Big Boy's Toys, and he was well respected throughout the industry for his knowledge, commitment, and character.
Adam was more than just a colleague—he was a leader, a mentor, and a friend who impacted our lives in ways that words can hardly express. He brought unwavering dedication to his role and always made time for those around him, guiding his team with compassion and warmth.
Beyond work, Adam was full of life. He was happiest outdoors, whether he was riding his Harley across Vancouver Island, spending a day on the golf course, or camping under the stars. His passion for adventure and his appreciation for life’s simple joys inspired us all.
Adam’s passing has left us with broken hearts and a profound feeling of loss. We are forever grateful for the time we shared with him, and his memory will live on in our hearts. Our thoughts are with his beloved Karen, family, and friends during this difficult time.
Adam, you are missed more than words can say. Rest peacefully, friend.
